Kevin Johnson PhD

Kevin is a microbiologist with a focus on understanding how bacteria and humans interact. During his graduate work in Dr. Karen Ottemann’s lab at UCSC, he focused on understanding how H. pylori uses its chemotaxis system to promote colonization and cause disease in the stomach. His research has utilized a variety of in vivo and in vitro models and methods to study bacteria-host interactions. Kevin is now leveraging these skills at Siolta Therapeutics to help drive R&D of new therapeutic consortia to target disease indications of interest.
